Collection: 2001 Original fine art paintings from South Africa
A selection of the original South African artist's paintings for sale. At the end of April 2001 Idalet had her first solo fine art exhibition with 100 fine art paintings. She set her goal to produce 100 paintings per year. Approximately 550 artworks created over seven years were photographed. There are approximately 75 artworks left.
Idalet's career, started as a businesswoman. She owned and managed three antique shops selling antique jewellery and accessories in Stellenbosch near Cape Town. But her love for interior decorating and the success of her architect-designed house in the nearby town of Somerset West, which featured in various magazines, newspapers and interior-decorating books, made her change course.
